Who\’s gonna ride your wild horses, Kofi?
I couldn’t help but observe a small item at the end of a UN press release about Iraq on Wednesday. Kofi Annan is currently on a tour of central Asia and the Middle East, and he was in Turkmenistan earlier this week. To quote (source)
“Before arriving in the Abu Dhabi, the Secretary-General and his wife, Nane, wrapped up their official visit to Turkmenistan this morning, stopping at the National Hippodrome where they saw a rare breed of horse known as the akhalteke, a UN spokesperson said.
The Secretary-General was offered a horse as a gift, and he selected a rare golden stallion named Kenar.”
One wonders what Kofi will do with the stallion… ride it down the streets of New York to the UN building every morning?
